Yogurt Scotch

I feel like I am staring down the barrel of a gun.  I will try anything that claims to be food and I will try my very hardest to give it a fair try, but I think I may have met my match.  My wife bought this harmless looking box back from the supermarket for me.  I  am not sure yet whether it was a gift or a punishment.

What on earth is Yogurt Scotch!

I recognise the box from it’s more conventional varieties.  It is usually a sort of individually wrapped sweet.  But the name yogurt scotch really threw me off.  Will it taste like yogurt?  Will it taste like scotch?  Either would be fine, but not both.  The idea of yogurt and scotch together has curdled in my mind, and it hasn’t even had the chance to curdle in my stomach.

Before I open the box and take a bite (or a sip), I need to know, if anyone else out there has had any experience of this (good or bad).

Please help me out here.  I need some encouragement.  I am usually quite brave with my diet, but for some reason this has brought me to a standstill.

Well, as a teen I was totally into this candy but it was the coffee flavoured one. It was great! Yogurt scotch? Dunno abt that..proceed with caution…..

Think butterscotch, then switch out the butter flavor for a twangy yogurt flavor. See? Not so bad :)

I just opened a box of them myself…they are a hard candy, almost completely but not entirely unlike butterscotch. The flavor is not buttery, but bland and kind of tangy.

They don’t taste bad, but I won’t go out of my way to find them again.
