What Mochi isn’t
Head over here to read a little story about what omochi is not. It is also an interesting insight into the sort of confusion that sometimes occurs when English speakers try to work things out in Japanese.
I would like to point out at this stage, that this blog is being written by an Australian man trying to make sense of Japanese cooking and Japanese food. There are at least 127million people who understand Japanese food better than I do (the entire population of Japan) and a fair few people in other countries, so I always appreciate input from other people about what they read.
Please add your comments to the articles or ask any questions that you like and together we can have a bit of fun discovering new things.
Note: My main focus is Japanese food, but the archives here are filled with all sorts of Asian food and I am all for including new content from any country if you have some suggestions.
