Taxes Finished! Time to Celebrate!

So dear hubby are chilling two bottles of San Miguel Beer in the freezer, to enjoy after he and dear bro are done filling out the forms. For those of you not familiar with San Miguel Beer, here’s a tidbit from the San Miguel website:

San Miguel Beer is the best-tasting beer in the Philippines, carefully brewed to satisfy the distinct preferences of the resilient and unpretentious Filipino drinker. Its unique heritage is representative of a friendship between the Filipino drinker and his beer that has lasted over a hundred years.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

San Miguel Beer is a pale golden lager with pleasant, clean, hoppy finish. It has a well-balanced medium body, lively and snappy, with a distinct bitter hop character that slides smoothly on the palate.

It is a truly satisfying beer with an elegant, well-balanced flavor. It is acclaimed as one of the world’s best beers, a recognition earned through the San Miguel tradition of brewing excellence.

San Miguel Beer, according to Wikipedia, is the 14th largest selling beer in the world; here are some sample reviews from epinions.com.

Go Asia at About.com has a list of the top beers in Asia. I’m surprised neither Beer.com nor RealBeer.com (the top beer sites) have much to say about it.

My dh’s favorite savory to enjoy with this beer? Squid in soy sauce. But he’ll have to do without it tonight.

Surprisingly, the most drinkable beer I found in Asia. Has a well balanced flavor of malt and hops, not too much and not too less to leave you wanting. Their Cervesa Negra brew is also a very good dark lager (IMO: it is at par or a bit better than some euro dark lagers)
