Mystery sweets #2

The second mystery Chinese sweet is apparently made from sweet plum.  Why are they plum coloured and cream coloured? Does anyone know?  When I saw the picture of the plums I immediately thought of Umeboshi, but that is not exactly sweet!

    Dried preserved plum flavor. I’ve had the plums but not the candy. The dried plums are flavored with sugar salt and licorice. Part of the “not thought of as candy” series with Durian and Bitter Melon.
