Kanzuri
Finally found a source for this spice blend online. Has anyone ordered from Yatatex? The shipping, though, if ordering only the Kanzuri, comes to $9.90, so I’m paying more for having it sent here than for the product itself. Methinks I’ll ask my local Japanese shops first if they can order it for me.
More info about Kanzuri.
What to do with it? Here’s one from Ideas in Food. And there’s an amberjack recipe with a dressing made with kanzuri that sounds delicious. You can find it in Emi Kazuko’s
The one review isn’t that great, but there are enough interesting recipes — and the pictures are gorgeous of course — I’ve only tried a couple of simple soups that were nothing out of the ordinary, but there’s at least a few more that may warrant experimentation.
