Go Whole Hog

by Stef on July 3rd, 2006

Can you tell, I *love* mail- and online-ordering. Check out my newest find:

Whole Suckling Pig for your Roast Suckling Pig needs!

There are bigger sizes available as well. Perfect for Filipino lechon, or for this yummy Chinese Roast Suckling Pig Recipe!

Shipping for a suckling pig to my area (Cincinnati) is $60.00. So it could get a bit pricey. Your best choice, of course, is to buy from a local farm, or your local Asian market’s cooked food counter — here there’s the Cincinnati Asian Market. But if you’re somewhere where you don’t have access to a local piggery, this might be a good alternative for you. Fire up that grill/oven and get roasting!

Need something to roast it in? Check out one of the things on my drool list:

BBQ with Bobby Flay from the La Caja China website.
