dried squid is a traditional drinking snack in Japan. The seemingly inedible shredded version comes back to life as soon as you start to chew whereas the whole one requires a little more effort to make it go down. It is great relaxing food and a little goes a long way. The perfect way to wait with a drink while dinner is bubbling away on the stove.
