Channa
This is so simple and easy — try it incorporated into a salad — the spiced chickpeas will give it some zing!
1 15-oz can chick peas, drained and rinsed
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 1/2 teaspoons salt, or to taste
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice, or to taste
Heat the chickpeas in a saucepan over low heat, or in a bowl in the microwave until hot. Combine cumin, turmeric and salt in a bowl. Add hot chickpeas and toss to coat. Add lemon juice and toss again. Adjust seasonings and serve with papri.
