Celebrating the Birth of a new website with Obento
This week I launched a brand new website and if you will forgive me I will indulge in a bit of shameless self promotion before I get back to writing about Japanese food.
The new site is called LifeGoalAction.com and to kick it off, I wrote an article about Independent Thinking and gave it to a top site called Pick The Brain, to publish. From there, it caused quite a stir and ended up on the front page of Digg and subsequently sent a truck load of readers to Pick The Brain and to my new LifeGoalAction. I couldn’t have been happier, so to celebrate, my wife brought home a pair of Obento and some cold drinks and we sat down to watch a movie on TV. A quiet but meaningful celebration.
So here we go with the Japanese food, thanks for being patient.
My wife dropped into a tiny little Tonkatsu shop near her office and picked up a chicken katsu (crumbed chicken ”cutlet”) obento and a Tonkatsu (crumbed pork cutlet) with miso sauce for me. The shop’s presentation is mirrored in the poor presentation of their food, but this takes nothing from the taste. The miso sauce on my tonkatsu was great and the pickles and vegetables that went with it were excellent too. My wife described her’s as “nothing spectacular” but it still went down well.
This sort of food is hardly gourmet but costs less than Mcdonalds and is worth many times more.
P.S If you have an inclination to effectively achieve your goals, then head over to www.LifeGoalAction.com and see what you think.
Thanks
Tom
