Breaking the bread and butter rules
Bread and butter pudding makes me think about traditional English food (whatever that is like) but I love it anyway. I twisted the recipe here a bit by loading it up with red bean (adzuki bean - an ) paste and leaving out the egg. Simply white bread, buttered and adzuki beaned all squashed in layers into the tin then thoroughly flooded with milk. 20 minutes in a low oven and I couldn’t be happier.
