Beyond the US on Memorial Day 2006
Not to diminish the memory of those who died for the US, especially today, Memorial Day — please click on the link to learn more about the history of this occasion…. but I’d like to ask everyone, if you could, to take a bit of time out from celebrating/commemorating/mowing the lawn/whatever you’re doing this day, and to pray for and support the quake victims in Indonesia. The death toll has passed the 5,100 mark. There are 200,000 homeless and they are scavenging for food. India, Singapore, Thailand, and China, as well as other countries, are sending help.
