Beef Udon soup

After the Tokyo Marathon I made my way to Shimbashi station and found myself totally depleted.  After I finished I ate a banana, a bread roll, the most beautiful ume onigiri, a soy joy bar, and a sports drink, but that didn’t come close to solving my problems.  I was cold and empty with absolutely no energy left.  I wasn’t sure that I had it in me to either sit down to a proper meal or stand up for a snack.

I went for a middle option. Bar stool at a noodle bar.  For about 400 yen I got a bowl of the most criminally hot udon noodles in beef soup with some big slices of beef and green vegetables.  I was in serious heaven even though it was way too hot for me.  While I was still battling to get it past my lips, several people came, ate and left, which reinforced the fact that I am a real cat tongue.

I left that place a little better off and fell into a train that took me home to sleep for a hundred years.
