Arloi Dee’s Thai Bistro

Ate here 2 weeks ago with the hubby. Not too impressed, the pad ki mao wasn’t anything like I was expecting — tasted too Chinese for me; the only thing that reminded me we were at a Thai restaurant were the basil leaves stir-fried with it…. will have to eat there again to give a more balanced review, but the first visit wasn’t too encouraging. I don’t know what it is about these “bistros” — I always thought bistros were French and so I expect the food to be more “Frenchified”, if you will, but mainly what we’ve found in these “bistros” (and we’ve eaten at 3 in the past 6 months) are more like slight-improvement-over-Chinese-fast-food type dishes. Oh, one thing that I did like — the tod mun plaa. But I guess that’s a bit harder to mess up.
