Apple Daifuku

Last week we received these as an omiege (travelling souvenir) from a friend.  They are very soft and mildly chewy apple jelly sweets.  Absolutely delicious and unstoppable, they disappeared as soon as the box was opened.  Does anyone know where these come from (I think I should know so I am a little embarrassed to ask the friend).  I’d love to get my hands (and my teeth) on some more.
